The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to the social and environmental will of a company, or rather the company’s commitment to behave in an ethical and correct manner, a behaviour that must go beyond mere compliance with the law, making business choices also based on respect for the environment and fair and decent working conditions.
Nortech Elettronica is very sensitive to the issue of ‘Environmental Respect’, an important issue both for its employees and for the surrounding environment. The company is therefore committed, through its Corporate Management System Team, to ensuring continuous compliance with applicable environmental requirements by improving, where possible and applicable, its environmental and energy performance by reducing the overall impact of its activities on the environment.
Nortech Elettronica places the importance of the health and safety of its employees above all else. The Company Management System is constantly looking for plans to prevent possible accidents in the workplace through punctual compliance with current safety laws and continuous training of its employees.

Conflict Minerals
On 17 May 2017, the EU Regulation 2017/821 was published, which sets out duty obligations in the supply chain for EU importers of tin, tantalum and gold originating from conflict or high-risk areas.
Therefore, special attention has been paid in recent years to materials defined as ‘Conflict Minerals’ that are sourced from the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighbouring areas. Mining and processing of these materials in these areas finances armed conflicts. Conflict Minerals are used extensively in the electronics industry and in particular in consumer electronics such as mobile phones or personal computers.
Nortech Elettronica, which is very attentive to this topic, undertakes not to voluntarily introduce parts containing minerals from the ‘Conflict Region’ geographical area, conducting an investigation (EU Regulation 2017/821 (15)) towards its suppliers to know the origin of the products.
REACH & RoHS
The RoHS declaration directive and the REACH regulation oblige manufacturing companies to declare the materials used in their products in order to limit the use of hazardous substances to protect consumer health. This includes requirements for the declaration of materials used in components manufactured in-house or purchased from suppliers. To this end, Nortech Elettronica performs specific checks on the entire supply chain, which results in the need to request information from suppliers regarding the raw materials used in the products supplied, and the use of substances on the list of those considered harmful.
RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
Restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). Last updated RoHS 3 with Directive 2015/863/EU.
REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals)
European Union Regulation adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks of chemicals. (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006).
